Blue Spirulina Protein Balls

10 Minutes • Servings: 14 Balls
Vibrantly colorful, these healthy little gems are packed with protein and healthy fats. They are a fantastic nutrient rich snack, entirely gluten-free thanks to the organic oat-based Dilettoso mix! The star of the show, however, as you can probably guess by the vibrant blue hue, is Spirulina. A blue-green algae that is rich in iron, chlorophyll, beta carotene, and other nutrients. If you are put off by the slight seaweed smell and taste of spirulina, no need to worry - the coconut & Vava Vanilla Dilettoso gluten-free mix will totally mask the flavor.

What you need

  • 1/2 Cup Vava Vanilla Dilettoso Mix
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Flour (sub with Almond flour)
  • 1/3 Cup Creamy Unsweetened Almond Butter or Cashew butter
  • ¾ Cup Coconut Shreds
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (Optional)
  • ⅓ Cup Pitted Dates, soaked in warm water for 5 minutes
  • 3 Tablespoon Milk of Choice, add more if needed
  • 2 Teaspoons Blue Spirulina Powder
