Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes

60 Minutes • Servings: About 6
These Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes are rich, fudgy, and perfectly sweetened with maple syrup. Topped with a tangy tart cherry glaze and optional chocolate curls, they’re a decadent treat inspired by Italy’s love for chocolate and cherries.

What you need

  • Cupcakes:
  • 1 cup Choc-o-lotta AMORE Mix
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for richness)
  • 2 tbsp milk or dairy-free alt (just enough to blend)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or coconut sugar (boost that fudgy sweetness)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips for extra gooey pockets
  • Tart Cherry Glaze:
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Tart Cherry Powder
  • 1 tbsp milk or lemon juice
  • Optional: cherry on top or chocolate curls

How to do it

  1. PREHEAT oven to 350°F and line a muffin tin.
  2. MIX all ingredients until a thick, scoopable batter forms.
  3. DIVIDE into 6 liners (they’ll rise just a bit, perfect for dense cupcakes).
  4. BAKE for 14–16 minutes—edges should be set but centers still soft.
  5. COOL slightly before glazing with that dreamy tart cherry drizzle.
