What you need

  • 1 cup Choc-o-lotta AMORE mix
  • 1 tbsp black cocoa powder (optional for darker color)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ large egg (beat one and use half)
  • 1½ tbsp milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: pinch of salt
  • Your favorite Gelato

How to do it

  1. PREHEAT oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. CREAM butter + half-egg + vanilla In a mixing bowl until light and smooth.
  3. STIR in Choc-o-Lotta mix + black cocoa. Add milk gradually until dough is soft and scoopable.
  4. ROLL into 12 balls and press each one to a ¼” thick disc—they should be thin and even (like classic sandwich cookies).
  5. BAKE 14–16 minutes until edges are set but centers stay soft. Cool completely.
  6. SCOOP your favorite gelato (vanilla, strawberry, or coffee!) between two cookies.
  7. PRESS gently, wrap in parchment, and freeze for at least 30 minutes to set.
