Apple Pie Waffles with Apple Butter

Celebrate National Waffle Day with Apple Pie Waffles, featuring a luscious apple topping (made with Langer's Apple Butter) poured over fluffy Dilettoso Vava Vanilla waffles. Top it off with a dollop of Greek yogurt and a sprinkle of cinnamon-infused powdered sugar for the ultimate treat.
What you need
- Apple Topping:
- 2 Large Apples small cubes (Granny Smith or Pink Lady)
- 4 TB Apple Butter
- Waffles:
- 1 3/4 Cups Vava Vanilla Amore Mix
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1 Apple grated (Gala or Fuji)
- 1 Large Egg (or egg substitute)
- 1 cup Milk of Choice
- Oil of Choice (for waffle maker)
- Optional toppings:
- Greek Yogurt and Powdered Sugar mixed with Ground Cinnamon
How to do it
- MAKE Apple Topping: Place cubed apples and apple butter into a saucepan.
- COOK over low heat for about five minutes.
- MAKE Waffle Batter by mixing Vava Vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, grated apple, egg, and milk in a large bowl.
- WHISK until combined but don’t over-mix. A few lumps are fine. Let the batter sit for 5 minutes.
- OIL waffle maker and heat.
- POUR approx. 1/2 cup of mix per waffle, and cook following iron instructions.
- REPEAT with the rest of the mixture, oiling the waffle iron each time, until all the waffles are cooked.
- STACK waffles on a plate and pour apple topping over the top.
- ENJOY!
